That's just not true haha I don't think he was ever going to sign an offer sheet but he wouldn't go visit with other teams if he just wants a deal done. You know Mitch signs the contract and not his agent, right? He can fire his agent at any time if he just wants a deal done. He wants to be paid the same way Auston Matthews & John Tavares got paid in the last year. I don't personally think he's worth more than Patrick Kane, but why would the guy who outscored both of his teammates sign for less?

And Toronto can use Aho's offer sheet contract comparable all the want, what's stopping Marner camp from turning around and using Kevin Hayes or Jeff Skinners contract as comparables? Don't you think he's worth more than those 2?
