I think Calgary would prefer to keep Tkachuk as much as Boeser is the type of player they need (RHS sniper). Plus there's not a chance Tkachuk inks for $5.7M AAV even with the term taking him straight to UFA. If he would the Flames would have already given him that deal.

I expect Calgary matches a 4 x $2.7M deal for Bennett as Treliving has been on record numerous times saying he likes the player. I think the term on that deal is a bit longer than ideal, but at only a 2nd rounder as compensation they have to match.

I know that Canucks fans would hate giving Boeser away.....but getting back the guy they passed up when they took Juolevi would be fair IMHO. As for Bennett....I believe that GMs in the NHL should start pushing more like they do in the NBA. But I guess the players would have to admit they are all about the money also LOL.
