Why? Giving FOUR firsts for Laine? Few players are worth that compensation. Laine is a phenomenal player, but is sort of one-dimensional. It would be worth looking at an offer sheet maybe at 5 years, where the AAV would be a little lower. Also, not sure why you would make the Blues trade. There is no need for another LD, especially since we got prospects like Romanov who will fill that role soon. Also, why is Mete on the 3rd pairing? Your lines are quite confusing as well, I’m not quite sure why Armia is on the first line. Why separate the Finnish line when you can slot in Jordan Weal who has played there last season or even Paul Byron.

it's easy to be confused when you look at a team like the old 1234 units of old era. here i've made the best suitable combination to be sure to create a real contender in 2019.

But is it worth throwing away our future? We don’t need to be contenders next year because our prospect pool is amazing. In 2 or 3 years, we could be the serious contenders. You sign Joel Edmundson, but how can Romanov fit in on the 1st pairing in a couple years? You then have to choose between trading Mete, Chiarot or Edmundson and their value goes down because teams know you want to trade them. You’re also stuck with no cap space to sign Domi, KK, Poehling, Gally, Danault, Tatar, Petry, etc in 1 or 2 years.
