Colorado Avs two years ago where having a terrible 48 pts season. They are now contenders. It goes fast. No, it is not certain we are contenders in 2 years but like he said, with the right move and guys like Caufield, KK, Poehling, Romanov and Brook and an healty Price, I like our chances.

All the trades on here are trying to patch together something short term. fact is our young guys are just not ready yet. So why waste assets this year. Just let them develop. Yes we will probably have to move some young talent when the time comes. Good problem to have.

Some habs fans (me included) are very hight on our kids because compare this group with Sherback,Mccaron and Tinordi....Honestly we were dead last in "prospect pool" 3 years ago and now we are in the top 5. Its hard staying objective at 100% and not get a bit (too much) excited. Thanks for your comment

When you think about it his hat trick is insane. He was on the 4rth line with Weal and Deslauriers and scores 3 times on 3 shot hahaha. Not gonna happen soon. Of course Poehling is not Matthews but it is nice too see him gain confidence. He also wont have the pressure too score his first goal next year. I dont know is roof (potential) but #2 two way center would be nice for a #25th pick.
