If it were that easy, it would have been done weeks or moths ago. Apparently, no teams are interested unless the Rangers take on a problematic contract. Which sort of defeats the purpose.

Maybe. It's a more logical fit for Colorado than the Kreider trades that keep showing up. Still doesn't leave the Rags with much wiggle room though. Move the third on a year and I'd probably say yes. Don't think the Avs would want to have no second and no third in the next draft. If he can regain the form he showed in his last season at Tampa he wouldn't be bad and it's not a lot to give up for a rental if they don't re-sign him.
