Interesting! I would've never thought of ARI as a trade partner. I would personally ask for this year 1st and next year 2nd with salary retained. Remove the 5th and you got a deal.

I think it's more palatable to ARI this way by splitting up the picks into two years.
Better chance for the Habs as well, since I think ARI pick will be higher in 2021.

seems like too much, Goligoski is overpaid but is still a good defender and a 1st and 2nd for Petry plus losing a solid dman doesnt seem like its worth it. ARI doesnt need the cap space
I do like Petry as a fit in ARI tho
