This one really made me think. I think this is a pretty close trade, Fiala and Kase have produced very similar ppg over their careers (.47 for Fiala and .49 for Kase) but Kase has been more productive recently (.68 2 years ago and .67 last year compared to .6 and .37 for Fiala, respectively). PPG isn't everything, but I just think Anaheim would want either a bit more value coming their way or to downgrade the pick.

Kase drives the play for Anaheim. He is arguably one of their best forwards. I don't see him getting traded for this package though. It has to be a sweet deal for BM to trade Kase. I can see Rakell and Silfvy getting traded before Kase.

I don't disagree, he is a very underrated player, but Fiala has a lot of potential as well, you aren't trading Kase for peanuts here.

Kase won't move.

Also $2M for Eriksson Ek? I mean MIN has the $ to give it to anybody but still

I don't know if he is worth $2M but figured it was a high estimate.

Kase's value seems to be all over the place with the fans. not sure how the duck's depth chart looks on the left but felt fiala and kase project to be similar and the ducks get a solid #4/5 D. plus a depth RW that could surprise a lot of people if he ever gets a chance to play.

I was hoping the Wild would make a move for Kase before they went and signed the FA's. what would you think of a 5th rd pick that could become 3rd if they make the playoffs.
TanSor liked this.

That could work! I'm wondering, though, if Anas would have to be swapped for a prospect.

Kase is a guy I'd love to see on this team. It will be interesting to see what the next GM does, but I'm really hoping they make moves for fast and skilled players.

I still disagree with that. Fiala played 83 games and finished with 39 points... Kase played 30 games and had 20 points. If Kase is healthy he will hit 60 points and at least 25-30 goals. Kase is part of the future in Anaheim and he wont be getting moved for that package. Maybe get someone like Silfverberg instead.
