Description

Sign RFA's to fair deals... McAvoy needs a reality check if he thinks he will get more $ than Pasta/Bergy. He is a group 1 with little leverage or he gambles and takes a bridge. Studnicka will start season with WannaB's to get some seasoning and D emphasis. Kuraly looks ready to make jump to 3C. Flank him with some two good 2way players. This allows Coyle to be power forward with Krech. The Merlot Line will be serviceable with Steady Freddy ready to contribute. No clue what Lindholm/Ritchie will offer but bottom 6 depth. Moore on LTIR and Miller still hasn't skated but could provide trade bait if/when ready. Would expect Vaak to be 1st D to be called up with Bjork at forward once he gains some legs and confidence. Hoping for a breakout year for Senyshyn and excited to see Lauko emerge... should be a fun year. CORRECTION - switched 3C and 4C. Kuraly line from last year proved worth...Fred, Danton, and Kuhlman will play as score allows but will provide a 200 foot game.

I like pretty much everything you said except a few things. First, I think Fredrick will go 3c and Kuraly will stay 4c. Kuraly was the perfect 4th line center and we don't want to ruin a prospect by putting him on the 4th line. Also I think its unfair that you said Mcavoy needs a reality check. Bergeron's contract was signed many years back and we can use as players contract values have gone up tremendously. I think its fair to say Mcavoy will be in around 7.2mil.

It would be nice if Freddy can elevate to 3C! The Kuraly 4th line would play more minutes than the 3L anyway...Either way, it would give the B's good strenght down the middle and Trent adds toughness. I'm torn on McAvoy...contract wise. He is Group 1 RFA. The deal must favor B's just like Pasta's did and the B's slot players accordingly. If it's 7.2M then it better be for 8yrs. I think Werenski signing will be a good barometer. McAvoy should slot about .5M less AAV.
