I dont think Arizona does that deal. Thats a big cap hit for a Dman past his prime.

You do know that you couldn't sign Trouba to 7.5? It would have to be over 9.3m per year because of the offer sheet.

False. Average annual value has to be 9.3 but that is the total contract divided by 5. So if signed to a 7 year it would be 49/5 for AAV but 49/7 for actual cap hit.

That's correct. Minimum amount would have to be 46.5M. Which for a cap hit would be ~6.65M, based on a maximum contract length of 7 years.
