Mcavoy shouldnt ask for more than Werenski is asking

Mcavoy is a group 1 RFA so none of this matters

He does need to sign a contract.

Mcavoy is about infinity times better, but he is a group player one so contracts should be similar for a bridge

Mcavoy is better but not way better. The bridge of 3 years at 4.5-5 is exactly what Mcavoy should get.

Mcavoy will get 3mil or less on a 1 year deal likely. Based on group 1 RFA history.

Reilly Smith, coming off 51 point season: 1 year, 1.4 million

Torey krug, coming off 40 point season: 1 year. 1.4 million.

Even 3 million is generous for mcavoy. He’s got no negotiating leverage so using other non group 1 RFA players contracts is useless since they have completely different situations.
