Are you referring to Kings trade? Think Bracco worth keeping and Martinez is not much of upgrade.

I am in favour of moving Bracco, not because I don't think highly of him but more because with Marner, Kapanen and Nylander ahead of him on the right side, he doesn't have a place on the team. At the same time, I'd prefer moving Kapanen for defensive help because Bracco I think can replace him and Kapanen can bring back a much better defenceman. Martinez isn't really an upgrade at this stage of his career.

I don't care what Babs will wet his pants for. Babs is extremely overrated and his time in TO is going to come to an end quickly if he doesn't learn to evolve again. He has been thoroughly outcoached in the playoffs 2 years in a row and has taken zero responsibility for it. He's showing himself to be an older guy who has habits and favourites and he's going to wear thin if he doesn't get over his own ego.

As for Martinez and his "pedigree" he was never really a key piece to those cup runs. What will bring a cup to TO is the play of Tavares, Matthews, Marner, Rielly, Nylander and Andersen. The rest of the guys will contribute but the team will go as far as the stars take them.

Just so we are clear I agree with you on all points. I was simply making a dig at Babs.
