Why make a deal you know youll regret then (6.3mil.. ouch)? Especially knowing you will have to resign McJesus, Eberle, Draisaitl and Nurse around 2019 (or just before)

Because moving Hall and not replacing him will be a big mistake. They should have never made this trade. They had several good pieces to use to improve their D and they chose to move their best player.

Not many UFA's are signed to deals that teams don't regret at the back end....
