That could be a strong pair for sure, I’m just projecting Bouwmeester is gonna either get hurt and or play himself out of the lineup and I like Gunnarsson and Bortuzzo too much to have one of them as a scratch

Don’t see JBouw losing his spot, not after his 2nd half and playoff performances. Gunny is the most likely to go out with an injury. Bortz will be the odd man out on most nights when all are healthy. Also, Kyrou is a long way from being physically ready, and will spend most of the year in the AHL barring multiple injuries to the Blues top 9. And Army prefers Sunny at Center with Barbie on his LW on that 4th line. Steen will be the regular on the RW, with Blais and maybe Kostin rotating in to spell Steen.

At the start of the season sure, they’ll go with what works. However, I’m not trusting 40 games of Jaybo being tied to possibly the best defensive defenseman in the league over the 3 previous years of replacement level hockey. Steen also deserves his spot to start the year, but he kind of sucked in the playoffs and has declined each of the past 4 seasons. I wouldn’t be surprised if the young players play him out of a spot. Kyrou also deserves an NHL spot when healthy and probably would’ve made it out of camp without the knee surgery. He lit it up in San Antonio and is up to 190 pounds, when he’s healthy he’ll play
