This doesn't help LA at all.

They're not going to have cap issues for the foreseeable future, so they're content to hold on to their bad contracts, Quick and Carter included. If someone wants to take them off of LA's hands, I'm sure the Kings will consider it, but LA isn't going to pay to dump them.

Clifford isn't going anywhere. He's the heart and soul of LA's roster and a fan favorite. I expect the Kings to announce an extension sometime soon.

If Columbus wants Toffoli, they can have him for a 2nd round pick and a B prospect. If the trade happens at the deadline, then change the "and" to an "or".
