Because he's an amazing player but not a better center than McDavid, Crosby, or Bergeron. So it crates a better team to move him to the top line LW and get him on the ice

I don't know about you but I'd rather be playing LW on the first line than center on the 3rd line because he's not better than McDavid or Crosby down the middle.
