Just made the defence worse by trading Ceci, so I don't know how this really helps.

Based on what? Leafs needs a cost controlled goalie backup not an over payed RHD who is replacement level. Goalie will have a bigger impact. We are talking about upping winning back to backs. Ceci has been alright. Holl has not been worse nor has Sandin, but they are 3.7 million less.
