Description
Just an idea knowing that Barrie hasn't fit very well in Toronto. I realize the cap $ doesn't work considering barrie is retained so maybe they could swap Pateryn and Ceci too.

MN should do it because they get Nylander who can hopefully be a young center for them. If they somehow compete they can keep barrie but if not they can trade him away for assets.

Toronto should do it because having a player like Nylander on wing is a luxury that they can't afford to have with a bad defense. I'm hoping Dumba fills that void for them and Zucker can help fill in Nylander's absence on forward.

If you think the trade is lopsided, let me know which team should add and what you'd propose instead!

Personally I'd rather see Marner be moved than Nylander.

That's interesting. I suppose I'd prefer Nylander based off the price tag and the fact that he's play more center than Marner in the NHL. I'm sure no trade like this can happen anytime soon after Babcock's dismissal though.

I see Nylander and Dumba as a pretty even swap. At first blush, I didn't like the Zucker for Barrie side of this deal, but as I've thought about it more...I like it. It gets the Wild out of Zucker's contract (I am NOT a Zucker fan!) and gives them a stop-gap rhd in Barrie who can be moved at next year's deadline. I would like to see Toronto add here, but I'm not sure that's realistic with them taking on Zucker's contract.
