Salary Cap Mode: Basic

1st LINE: Stick with the familiarity and put Patch and Gally with Chucky in the middle. Chucky can be set loose and Patch and Gally can be defensive aware

2nd LINE: Put Radulov with Plekanec. Test Lehkonen on the left side to see if he is NHL ready. If not, send him back overseas for one more year. Call up Hudon then! I like Hudon but another year in AHL won't hurt. Hudon makes the team for sure next year. (Plekanec was in AHL for 3 years)

3rd LINE: I like the Chicago familiarity connection of Danault and Shaw. Neither are loaded with top end skill and suited for the 3rd line. Both can play center as well and take face offs. Put Andrighetto with them to add a bit of offense.

4th LINE: Mitchell or McCarron at Center but start with Mitchell. Add Carr on the left side and you have a pretty good 4th line with size, skill, and hard work mix. McCarron is ready and 4th line is the only spot for him this year. Move him up to 3rd line if he can improve skating. Use him on Powerplay in front of the net when needed.

Lots of depth to choose from in AHL when someone gets injured. Hudon, DLR, Reway, Matteau, Flynn, Friberg. There are others but another full year in AHL is needed.

D and Goalies are a no brainier this year. If no trades happen, put Beaulieu with Weber to reduce Markov's minutes! Use Markov on PP where his value is at this point in his career! Sergachev is arguably ready but id say next year or the year after. Give him a 8 game tryout to see what the NHL is about so he knows what to work at. Very impressive all around future D man we snagged at #9!!
