The Trouba deal makes sense, but 4M for Lowry is just ludicrous. As a Jets fan who follows this team closely, Lowry does not deserve this sort of money. I think a 2M hit would be more of an acceptable one. The guy only had 23 and 17 points in his first 2 years. So unless he were to take a massive step forward 4M is a rather large commitment to someone who hasn't shown the ability to be more than a 3rd line player. Armia is the same thing, he scored 10 points in only half a season with the Jets. These guys are not worthy of these price tags IMO. These contracts put Chevy over the cap and in a tight spot to make moves, especially if they're in a playoff position.
