Uh he's having a better year than Kane, Hertl, Meier, etc.

He's also not a rental. He's worth a 1st.

Better year? sure points wise. I wouldn't even consider swapping Kane, Hertl or Meier for him. I'd be very surprised if a team gave NYR a first, I think that's very unrealistic.

As a rangers fan, I think this is pretty solid. I’d definitely sign up for that. Probably eat half his cap this year too.

I'd probably be okay with this, as I dont think a first is gonna happen. Waiting until 2022 for the pick is what I dont really like. Because of that I might want to eliminate the 5th going back to SJ. And as the other poster said the Rangers could retain 50%, which would give you some wiggle room capwise..

I would agree with that. Not sure if our GM would actually do that considering our lack of picks in a very good looking draft ahead. But Strome gives SJ that secondary scoring that it's really lacked all year.

Yeah, I definitely get why it's not this years 2nd, you dont want to wait until pick 80 something to get started. The Rangers have done that and it's why they are in the mess they are in now.
I'd love to see SJ and NYR work out something with Georgiev but it's tough for a team to bet a lot on a goalie who hasn't played a full season as the number one guy, and tough for NY to give him up for a light return and see him work out better than Shesterkin, which could happen.

I came to the conclusion that NYR should keep both Georgiev and Shesterkin. Aaron Dell has actually been pretty good the last five starts and he's almost to a .900 save%, the first shark goalie to get there in almost two years! I think we really need a RW in the top 6 to balance the attack and take some pressure off Burns and Karlsson to put points up.

The sharks average pick in the last 20 years has been 28th overall if we even have a first rounder. Still NYR has a lot to look forward to in Rykov, Kravstov, Fox, maybe Andersson, K'Andre etc...really bright future there....I'm very envious of Kravstov, what a player, he reminds me of Chekhovich for us, surprisingly cut from camp and having a terrible showing in the AHL. Chekhovich had one point in 16 games after tearing up rookie camp, dev camp and training camp.
