Chicago is set on LHD with Maata, DeHaan and Keith and Koekkoek. I don't see why they would need to add Merrill and the picks aren't all that tantalizing as they will be late in each round. I think they can do better for Gustafsson.

I wonder if we can do something related to Tuch in an Erik Gus deal. In this deal, Gus obviously comes with a long term extension and Chicago adds.

Is Gus really worth 5x5? I know he's pretty good but giving up Tuch and giving him that kind of extension feels a little bit off. I don't hate this deal, there is a lot to like on both sides but I'm just wondering if we could alter it a tad. Obviously I don't watch a lot of Blackhawk games and you probably know more about this than me. Maybe not Zach Smith but a different pick could be in order.

Zach smith is mostly to swap Cap and replace a third line forward for you guys. If you guys wanted another forward, say Andrew Shaw type then we would need to better pick. I think most people would expect Gus to be a 5x5 but I will admit that he is having a down year with his goal scoring. I’m interested in Tuch, so I’m sure If there is a good base here we can agree on something.
