Overhaul the goaltending next year

Created by: papishark
Team: 2020-21 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 10, 2020
Published: Jan. 11, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I could see a team taking a flyer on Jones bouncing back for 2.7 mil. It might suck to overpay Lehner here but it could make the sharks contenders again if he can play up to it.

Gregoire, albeit he’s having a good year is still a long shot to make the team next year. Hes too one dimensional and still hasn’t really improved his defensive game. With Burns and Karlsson and Merkley coming up in the next year, the Sharks have little use for another offensive dman on the right side.

I think signing Lehner to a big contract is a bad move, I’d be more keen to sign Greiss for half that cost. Signing Grimaldi is a big head scratcher especially for that massive overpayment. Id rather spend a couple million extra to get Dadonov.

I just dont see Dadonov hitting the market this year, which leaves Hoffman who will never play with EK.

Can always take the trade route for Strome or similar. I just don’t think Grimaldi is worth that price. Maybe 2.5 million

Hes on pace for 45 points on a pretty eh Nashville team, better than Labanc, but I do agree he probably isnt.
