I imagine Caufield will be here once his season is up. Who knows if they make the final tournament. If they do, he might not be signed before we play our last game.

As for Kovalchuk, I imagine we will get more for that, if not, we just keep him and resign him for another year.

I'd rather get a 1st + other good picks over Lavoie and a 2nd.

Lavoie imo won't be any more than a third liner. Good junior player but can't see him cracking the top two lines. I personally would rather gamble on a mid to late first rounder than him
