Big TDL 2020

Created by: ngikas
Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 23, 2020
Published: Jan. 23, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Sharks trade: I just saw an article posted saying that could be the possible deal. I just threw it in there for the H E double hockey sticks of it. I dont think its something the Bruins would explore unless they really missed out on all their ideal targets. And in the end of it, its really up to Joe and from what I've read on here a lot ppl dont think this is likely.

LA trade: I forgot to add a condition to the pick that if BOS advances to the SCF the pick turns into a 2021 2nd. It may be an overpayment on my part but I added Kuhlman because the pick was the a 3rd not a 2nd.

CHI trade: I might get bashed here because Grizz is a great player and Bruins fans love him (myself included). Personally I think its a good move for the Bruins. They add a player whose capable of playing top minutes. Now as a player idk how Gustafsson is when it comes to defense and advanced analytics (things that actually matter lol). On top of that idk if we'd be giving up too much (Bruins have Grizz's RFA rights) or too little (because I dont know much about Gustafsson).

Let me know what you think.

I expected the no on Thornton. So LA deal switches to Zboril and a 2nd. Why a no on Gustafsson? Do you know anything about him as a player? Im just curious, I think if there was a way to get Chara off the top pair (as much as I love him) they would be better off come playoff time. I dont think he's a complete liability on the ice but I just think if they can have the luxury of him on 2nd or 3rd pair then they become an extremely hard team to beat.

Chicago is desperate for Dman with De haan and Seabrook hurt and they are trying to get rid of Gustafson which is a red flag already but he is a defensive liabilty. he had a great season last year offensively but Grez brings more to the table than him as a well rounded dman, we won't resign Gust plus Grez will be cheaper he will take a hometown discount grew up in boston played college hockey in boston and wants to stay in boston

Fair enough, figured i'd explore the idea since I didn't have much knowledge on Gustafsson. But now Ik, no gustafsson.

if bruins are going to add a Dman it'll be one with a physical presence and playoff experiance (don't think kevan miller will be able to find himself back in the lineup after being hurt for almost a year) or maybe they stick with Lauzon he looked pretty good against Vegas but we'll see

Gustafson would instantly get on Cassidy's bad side because of his very inadequate defense. He's a PP specialist but not much else. Keep Gryz
