Zucker and Simmonds

Created by: Bcarlo25
Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 2, 2020

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I’m under the impression that the Wild would prefer to trade Zucker. I guess I could be totally off on that, but he’s circled in trade talks so dang much. He’s a nice middle six add that could be perfect for the bruins. Simmonds is depth and toughness, and probably some net front on PP2.

How do you wild fans think this addresses the organizational need of the Wild? Let’s operate under the assumption that Zboril is an NHL ready prospect, as i think he is, with a floor of a good bottom pair guy with the potential to play up to an average 2nd pair guy. Arguing, “this prospect is bad,” “no, he’s good,” doesn’t get us anywhere.

Bjork has been playing really well of late, getting into the bruins top six and scoring a fair bit. 5 points in his last 8 games.

Bjork is a left handed shot. He can play both sides for sure, played on the Right side at Notre Dame as well as at the pro level. I think the point is, is that Minnesota has only two right shot forwards on their entire team, and one of them is a center. So they dont need another left shot forward playing the right side to go along with Zucc, Fiala, Greenway. Also, they are trying to get rid of a winger to add Kaprizov from russia so adding another one doesnt make sense.

So sounds like you want centers only. Any idea of other teams that have a right shot center prospect that they would move? Teams seem to really protect those guys.

I'm not a minnesota fan... Actually a B's fan. You are correct that teams covet their centers for sure, and the bruins definitely covet Stud. Thats why i said earlier that it may be a tough trade to pull off. Just may not be a fit, i think the value originally was pretty fair.

I like Zucker but if Bruins trade for him i don't see them being able to afford Krug even with the Backes contract gone i hope they will go with a rental like Toffoli, Chara might retire next year and if we can't resign Krug that leaves a big hole on the backend even with Vaak down in prov.

Minimum 20 million in room. If the cap goes up, which is likely, it would be more. The math doesn’t back up your assertion
