L Schenn would require more $$, which you have the cap space. But, the real question comes: is the team any better?

Wow for once i think your selling Minny's players short regarding the Philly trade . The Philly trade isn't worth it IMO. Schenn is good but he is only a marginally better upgrade over Granlund and Spurgeon is a huge upgrade over Gudas. Extremely one dimensional player. His physicality is easily thwarted by speed because he just cannot keep up. That's why TB was eager to let him go. They understand speed is essential at both ends of the ice. More so than physicality.

Philly doesnt need another offensive dman .. Gudas is a great fit right now and i dont think Minny wants to move granlund this early. Too much room to grow still

Marginally better?? Schenn is a much better player than Granlund. Granlund's career high in goals was this past season was 13 previous to that it was 8. Schenn had 26 this past season and 59 points not to mention the physical presence he brings to the game. The Flyers have no need for Spurgeon. They have a wealth of young Defence prospects coming.
