Description

This is not a full solution as there may need to be another trade to get an NHL winger/C in for the third line. Perhaps involving Dermott? Dermott for Bennett maybe? I don’t know just spit balling. Thoughts?

Additional Details:

Kap is a solid 200ft player and has obvious value. He could spot into any line and in any situation. I would argue he is the best player in this deal. Holl is a great offensive weapon from the backend and very good skater. He does need someone with him to help anchor him in the defensive zone.

Additional Details:

I know a lot of Leaf fans have this infatuation with Holl, but the fact is we have a bunch of mobile puck moving offensive minded d-men and need to shore up our end of the rink. Savard solve this without giving up a lot of mobility. Anderson would be a welcome physical presence with the opportunity to resurrect his season, and would dull the sting of losing Kap.

I wouldn't trade Kapanen for this package, he's too good.

Columbus doesn’t want Kapanen. We need a LW or a center, preferably a center coming back. Also Savard is untouchable with Jones out. We’d need a RHD better then Holl coming back at the deadline. Maybe this trade could happen at the draft, but not the deadline.

TBH I’d much rather trade Kerfoot than Kap. This does seem to favor more of a draft or off season move though. I guess it may also depend on Anderson’s contract demands.
