How would you break that up in value? 3 high end pieces going Detroits way and 2 going Buffalo's way. Reinhart would be a huge loss for buffalo.

You should swap vanek and Reinhart in roster. Vanek is only good offwing. Reinhart would be able to set up Larkin from anywhere with his insane IQ

Just as rare as in-division trades are...even trades are even more rare.

Mrazek > Lehner
Nyquist < Reinhart
Green > Franson
McCabe = Jurco
Russo, 1st, 4th > 2nd. 3rd

The Wings won't see the benefit of this trade this season, but next year Larkin or Reinhart will be the 1C with Mantha and the other on their wing.
If next year's lines looked anything like this:

Reinhart - Larkin - Mantha
Zetterberg - Neilsen - Tatar
Bertuzzi/Sadowy - Athanasiou - Frk/Svechnikov
Abdelkader - Helm - Glendening

I'd say that the forwards would be a pretty good group.

In my scenario, I want Reinhart to get time in the middle with a veteran wing like Zetterberg.

Ok. But regarding "McCabe = Jurco," is Jurco THAT good? McCabe had top-4 minutes and had decent advanced stat numbers as a rookie! McCabe should easily be a top-4 dman in this league for a long time

yes and no. Jurco has top6 skill. He doesn't get top6 minutes. He's still a "prospect" just like McCabe is still a "prospect." Ceiling? I think McCabe has a higher ceiling. Which is why I put a 1st and Russo in the trade from Detroit rather than just Russo.
