Why is Dallas trying to fix something that is not broken?

Why wouldn't Dallas try to get a top 10 winger in the league locked up for 5 more years after this. They're getting back a OFD in T Barrie and trading a diminishing asset in A Radulov along w/ futures for a player that isn't going anywhere.

The cost: The 10 MILLION dollar contract and how much they have to give up for it

By trading away an OFD in Klingberg. One that is signed for longer and has a previously established chemistry with the team.

EDIT: Read that too quick, point is Dubas doesn't want Radulov, he is definitely not going anywhere.
