IF Yzerman gets Kucherov to agree to $5M per year, he deserves to get executive of the year honours before the season starts. Nesterov signing for near the league minimum would also be a coup. Still think it will cost a player to keep the band together.

Kuch won't and shouldn't sign for 5M. He is worth 6.5-7.0M. A discount would be in the 5.9-6.3 M range.
