Description

If the Caps do not re-sign Holtby, which seems likely, it is possible to see them go for Lundqvist to back up their future goalie and have an experienced veteran. Rangers retain some salary and get a depth player and a goalie to be sent to the minors.

Strome is re-signed, although it is possible that the Rangers might opt to seek a better center via trade.

Rangers D is set and there are 2 to 4 prospects in the pipeline waiting to make their mark.

A few forwards will be knocking on the door next season as well.

If the Rangers want to go big they will make a pitch for Taylor Hall. But that is unlikely.
