Sadly if this team doesn't change their execution this season swap Strome for Zibanejad and remove a 1st from carolina and you might be close. This is coming from a 40 year leaf fan.

People seem to think Matthews would get a return the size of one McDavid would get. Yet, they are in a whole different category. The only thing great about Matthews game is he can put the puck in the net. He isn't even a complete player. He is overvalued and overrated. I always viewed Eichel as a better player mostly based off of the fact he has a better all-round game and can put more points up than Matthews, he is also on a bad team and Matthews is on a good one.
