Not for those pieces Connor's not, And Krug is staying with Boston for less pretty much guarantee that.

I think it might.
Drouin could be any winger not named Gallagher. Whichever young centre they like not named Suzuki could be used. Mete is a nice piece. The pick could be higher.

Idk why Winnipeg wouldn't take that deal... Drouin has been consistent at 50 pts, is only 24 yrs old and definetly hasn't reached his potential yet. Mete is 21 and is playing top 4 minutes as an undersized defenseman. He will pan out to be a good top 4 dman in this league. and Kotkaniemi is a 3rd overall pick, hes a strong two way center and IMO if given a chance he could be a second line center right now with decent wingers.

Winnipeg would be foolish not to take this, they fill all their needs in a 2C, and Top 4 defense, not to mention Drouin is not much of a downgrade. Montreal would never make this trade.

From Winnipeg's perspective, I also think Drouin could be dynamic paired with an elite centre like Scheifele.
