I don’t see Columbus making that trade. Gavrikov has developed into a solid top 4 LHD and complements Savard very well.

You’re sending us a guy who can’t even make it in the AHL as a LHD and a bust in Andersson. Sorry, but I don’t think Andersson and tortarella would get along every well and seeing how he’s refuses to play in the AHL. I’m not sure Columbus would be the best fit for a player like that who doesn’t want to play a grinding/hard nosed game.

So combining the fact that Columbus doesn’t want to move Gavrikov and you aren’t really giving them anything of value in return. Columbus declines. Though if you were to take Murray instead of Gavrikov there might be something there to talk about.
