Classic quantity for quality trades. Can't believe no GM's have figured out its the best way to stack a team.

This is a prime example of why the Sabres will never be any good.

That’s just mean spirited hatred there. The Sabres didn’t make that trade and I would bet 90% of the Sabres would agree with me and not even consider these absurdly overpays of trades. My bet, this is a Jet's fan trying to feel better about there team. I wouldn’t trade Sam Reinhart straight up for Laine. Sam was also a #2 pick overall, has great hockey IQ and great work ethic, and is developed/proven he can play in this league. We told Sam he needed work on size and skating last year, so what did he do, put in the time at the gym even to sacrifice of game performance in Juniors two years ago, which paid off in getting him a very good year last as a rookie 23 goals, 42 points in 79 games. When another GM call GMTM about a trade and word Jack or Sam come out there mouth, I would expect the phone to hung up.

I also wouldn’t trade away Baptiste or Fasching either. If you got Yakupov for Franson and 3rd round pick he would playing not bundled with Rienhart in a trade for Laine.

I am the guy who made this, and I am a hardcore Sabres fan, and I think very highly of Sam Reinhart, but I think Patrik Laine is the best scorer to be drafted since Steven Stamkos and has a 50-60 goal per season potential.
