I usually agree with your acgm's but I really wouldn't want to give Kapanen for that package. If I am trading Kapanen, we need to get a rh top 4 dman

Yeah, Kapanen is probably better than Labanc while Andersen is probably slightly worse. We can cycle the 3 based on how they perform.

We don't really have a top 4 RD that can play now that you would want. Roy could probably become a top 4 defenseman down the road, but definitely not yet. If you guys wanted Merkley, we could make a deal, but that would make the trade a lot bigger and we would need a top forward prospect coming our way.

I've seen Merkley play in person, and I can confidently say he's definitely worth keeping. The kid is going to be our own homegrown EK65. Unless Toronto wants to send us Marner or Matthews I say we keep him.

What about Robertson?

His stats are unreal, but I'm not into trading futures for futures. If anyone wants our best, and really only, elite prospect, then they better pony up one of their best young NHL forwards.

Of course we can review our options again after this season ends, the 2020 draft concludes, and the next season's training camp commences.
