The Leafs are deep with centres. I threw Kempe there to start, but he would most likely move to 2nd or 3rd line winger, and either Nylander can slide to 3C or Brassard can move up to 3C and we can have a battle for 4C. Brooks, Robertson, etc

Without even getting into value of players ... how are the Kings eating that much salary?

Kings say no. They have centers. They need LWs. They have a bunch of 2nd 3rd line guys. The Cs are Kopitar, vilardi, lizotte, amadio, Carter (albeit not great Cs, except kopitar and vilardi), with turcotte waiting in the wings. Plus it’s money the kings don’t want. This trade doesn’t help them.
