Value-wise, it is hard to say whether or not the bruins would take eichel for Urho, Stud, Griz, Debrusk, and a 1st. Without overrating the bruins players, that is the bruins two top prospects, a solid top 6 player with a lot of room to grow, a good defensman with potential, and a 1st (albiet a low first). Clearly i am not overvaluing them lol
The bigger issue is that it just makes no sense for the bruins to do it at all: With Bergy, Krejci, Coyle, Kuraly, and then Stud, Freddy, Beecher all coming up, the bruins have too much depth and prospective talent to make this trade and ONLY send stud that way. Also giving up both Urho AND Griz leaves the LHD being Krug - chara - Lauzon - Moore, not bad, but once chara retires its a hole for the future. And it leaves them with no 2nd line wingers at all by trading debrusk. So here is my alternative that would leave them in better position moving forward, and make sense for both teams.
Chances are, it wont happen, but logically speaking, its a better shot that the bruins would take this than the other one.
Looking at the linesthere is certainly a slight gap on the RW, so again to give up that much for him is unlikely, but this is better than previous looks
EDIT: also just saw a carolina trade of Eichel for:
Bean, Jake
Suzuki, Ryan
Pesce, Brett
Trocheck, Vincent
2021 1st round pick (CAR)
and an AZ on of Eichel for:
Hayton, Barrett
Söderström, Victor
Stepan, Derek
Raanta, Antti
2021 1st round pick (ARI)
Vaak and Stud were a major part of this trade, they are the big big pieces (top 6 center prospect and top 4 Urho prospect)
The first remains so that will sweeten the deal
The new parts are Kase, Ritchie, and Krejci, adding MAJOR top 6 and middle 6 depth as well as two cheap young players that they will be able to sign. This should easily cover Debrusk and Griz from the other one
That is utterly false. Every team has 4 centres to 8 wingers. There are more 90+ centres because being a centre is harder and requires much more skill. You cover more ice, you have more defensive responsibilities and you take faceoffs. Wingers skate up and down the wing and cover the point. Supply and demand, finding a Franchise centre is the most thing in demand. Just look at how many teams don't have one. Speaking of Boston in praticular, eventually both Bergy and Krejci will decline, its a wonder Bergeron hasn't already fallen off. Although his injuries are happening more often then before which is a sign of age.
But look at Montreal as an example, they have been looking for a franchise centre for over a decade with no luck, they have had a tonne of high quality forwards but no luck getting a franchise centre. Eichel is absolutely one of those and considering his age he's one of the top 5 most valuable players in the game I'd wager. He's up there with Matthews, Petterson, McKinnon, Point and Draisaitl.
Then they can go trade with Montreal. Who needs a center and would give up a bunch for him.
Bruins arent giving up Pasta, and they arent giving more than what I offered

They would, 100%, there is a reason we are a bunch of fans on here and not NHL executives.
You've soooo convinced me 110% with your in-depth analyses and knowledge of all things hawkey-hawkey!
I will consult you on all my future posts HF; promise!!
Whoa, standby, I'm getting a fax from Ken Holland and may need you right away...
Lol *claims that Urho and Stud arent very good prospects*
*"fact checks"* (by not reading anything)
Has two logical fans explaining it correctly and doesnt listen

Never said their bad bud..... just said Eichel is on a whole another level and it would take a comparably package u explained u want to give a POTENTIAL top 6 center and top 4 def for a 23 year old who is arguably a top 10 player in the NHL u sound like a leaf fan..... but they were willing to give Marner+ so actually u just sound hilarious btw to rest of the package has very little value to Buf so just dont bother

I dont think its gonna happen. But IFFFFF it were to happen, this is the only way bruins would take it.

Read all of it. Sweeney isn’t giving up all that for someone who complains during some organization adversity. A 1st, high end prospect and an NHL established player is all I believe Sweeney would give up. Some other organization might give up a truck load. Not Boston. Eichel is an incredible talent but he is a whiner.

THATS WHAT I SAID. The BRUINS WONT DO IT. but IFFFFFFFFF the bruins were to do it, this would be the MAX
No it would not be the max. Hypothetically or not. Its an awful suggestion either realistic or other.
What is wrong with you:
You said: “ Sweeney isn’t giving up all that for someone who complains during some organization adversity. A 1st, high end prospect and an NHL established player is all I believe Sweeney would give up”
That’s is less than @Silkysmooth42 said was the max. And then you just said that his wouldn’t be the max.
What?????
