Under Gallant, I agree. Under DeBoer, I think they go with the 6 above. Which is what they have been doing this year since the bye week.

At least to start the season, maybe 30 games in, he moves Holden to the bench and tries Whitecloud and Hague together

I agree that Hague has the upper hand on Jimmy, but who knows. I'll bet Stephenson gets about half that money and that Reavo also accepts less. I think Lehner is in the future plans as well, I just don't have a clue how that all shakes down and becomes a possibility.

But talk about an exciting time upcoming this winter.....I can't wait to go see HSK play and watch all of our up-and-comers. I assume Krebs and Dugan will be making their way down here as "two yoots" to keep an eye on.

I believe Krebs has to go back to WHL for one more season

Hague has upper hand on Schuldt, but not sure on the other 6 right now.

Stephenson needs a raise over his current deal, but I actually think he comes in closer to 1.75. Just went high to make sure the cap space.

I don’t know if you follow SinBin.vegas, but they mentioned Reaves was close to re-upping (they believe it’s actually done, just not finalized) and it will be 1.2-1.5 area.

Yeah Kreb's is 50-50. He just might be ready for the next challenge, we'll see. There won't be a ton of raises handed out for next year for any team. If Chandler gets the $1.75M you mention, it will be for 3 or 4 years I think (kinda like Carrier's deal). Yeah I follow....Reaves definitely wants to stay. Hope the price tag makes sense.

What are your thoughts on Lehner? I just can't imagine Kelly & Co brought him in as a rental so something might be on the stove.

Sorry, I meant Krebs doesn’t have a say. Based on the CBA he is either in the NHL or the WHL based on his age. The only AHL time he will get is end of WHL season before AHL season ends. Similar to Glass in 18/19 season.

I think they like Lehner a lot. Don’t get me wrong. I just don’t think they will pay 2 goalies 12-14 million on the cap. Just doesn’t make cap management sense. So I believe he will walk.

But in the outside thought process they will do that, it will probably mean Stastny is dealt and Stephenson is at C then either between Pacioretty Stone, or 3C with Glass moved up the lineup.

I suppose if it's not in the cards to sign Lehner, they can always get a draft pick from a team that really wants him prior to FA. Maybe even get a second rounder back? (negotiating rights are probably worth that much to a team desperate for a goalie)

I think next year (and this years playoffs) Glass is between Tuch and Chandler (speed, speed, and speed) while Roy is between Carrier and Reaves.

I think Stastny is staying though....who better to mentor Glass next year and possibly Krebs in another year (Stastny gets 35+ contract renewal).

Unfortunately Glass won’t be back in time for this season’s playoffs, but next year I could see that.

Also, I think Cousins would play before Reaves on the 4th line.
