Hall X Eichel For fun

Created by: CatmanV
Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 5, 2020
Published: Jun. 5, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is just A FOR FUN idea!
But hey it might make sense based on someone’s recent trade that many considered to be much closer than any other that they had seen and this might mend the gap for both teams.

The point here is: bruins sign Hall, which allows them to sorta be more reckless with the trade (replacing Kase with a much more valuable player in debrusk).

Even as I made it, cap space became an issue, but that’s why the bruins sign Hall to a one year deal at 7 mil (with the promise of playing with Eichel) then he is able to put up 100 points and earn an 11 million dollar deal instead of only 9 mil this offseason

That’s business baby

2.
BOS
  1. Jost, Tyson [RFA Rights]
COL
  1. Krejci, David
Additional Details:
Based on comments, nobody seemed to have an issue with this trade.
It’s makes sense too.
Avs get a good second line center that would resign with them because they aren’t, well Buffalo. Bruins get a solid top 6 prospect to be another big piece in the Eichel trade.
Avs then use can then let Kadri more comfortably play 3C where he is better suited anyway.
Win -Win
3.
BUF
  1. DeBrusk, Jake [RFA Rights]
  2. Jost, Tyson
  3. Ritchie, Nick
  4. Studnicka, Jack
  5. 2021 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Now, instead of two really big pieces and three medium pieces, you have three really big pieces (in studnicka, Jost, and Debrusk), and then Ritchie is still solid top 6 / middle 6 depth and still a top 6 potential guy with a 1st as well.

Buffalo gets an amazing return for a player who has expressed his desire to leave, and the bruins get their guy without killing themselves
4.
BOS
  1. 2020 2nd round pick (EDM)
DET
  1. Grzelcyk, Matt [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
So cap space would take an L, so Griz would need to go, but bruins will be fine.

I don't think hall would sign that low even though they would easily make it to the conference finals every year.
hall could just sign with COL and get paid more

But overall not to bad

Depleting the depth of the Bruins would be the wrong decision. I know its for fun but I wouldn't like this Bruins lineup. The star power upfront is unreal but I think this team struggles to win a cup.

I appreciate the kindness and suggestions, unfortunately some guys here were too dumb to do either lol

For the hall thing, I have argued both sides. Again I only did it here for the fun of it

For the bruins, I agree. Trading for Eichel makes no sense, they have Bergy, krejci and Coyle rn, and their future is Stud, Coyle, Beecher, and anyone else they get. Again it was just for the fun of it, so IFFFFF they were to trade for himc that is the absolute max they would give up

Cool Post!
Good trade good signings!
Obviously its all hypothetical, but for the complexity of the situation, and how hard ANY trade for eichel would be, this is exellent

Excellent and well thought out comment! Thank you for being kind, doing research, and giving ideas. (Again only a select few do)

1) this has been an issue I have been on both sides of. It’s risky, but it could also pay off with a 100 Oy season with Eichel and a 7 x 11 deal next year. Who knows, again just for fun

2) krugs discount was looking to be 6.5-7 so I went 7 for the hell of it. Obviously nobody really knows but I’m just guessing too

3) again buffalo guys will always overvalue him, unfortunately when a guy says he doesn’t like playing somewhere, that kills the value a bit. It likely doesn’t happen like I said, but IFFFF the bruins were to do it, this is it. No more or it wouldn’t be worth it for the bruins

No problem! And the more I think about it, the more likely the market will be supremely affected by COVID-19. FA's this offseason might take short-term, lower value deals in place of long-term while they wait for the market to rebound. The salary cap staying put might also cause teams to shy away from big contracts until everyone's certain that revenue is stabilized.

Basically what I'm saying is you might be completely right on Hall and Krug. I'm really interested now in how this offseason will look in terms of contracts/offer sheets/etc.

As for Buffalo fans, I can see where they're coming from. If I had a franchise player and someone offers me less than what I deem fair (whether it truly is fair or not), I'd probably get defensive too.

Absolutely. Believe me, I saw a bunch that we offering like Mcavoy and Pasta for him (which obviously the bruins would never do), then are are some that are like Moore, Ritchie, Stud and a 1st which obviously the Sabres wouldn’t do.
But then I saw @Silkysmooth42 s and it was actually very even going both ways. Sends enough solid players the sabres way, but doesn’t just Murder the bruins depth / prospect pool. So I added even a little more going the sabres way, and these fans are still just being rude.
But whatever

Thank you for being kind, doing research, and giving a suggestion (something that only guys like @McGruff @Silkysmooth42 and @Jesus are capable of doing apparently)

In saying that, it would seem that with Stud, debrusk, and Jost, giving up Urho also would be too much for it to be reasonable for the bruins to do.
This is the highest the bruins would go if it were to happen

LoL this place is funny. Try not to say things as a matter of fact. You and I don’t know, no matter how much research we do, what exactly is Sweeney’s ceiling is with a talent like Eichel. Also be more ready to take some critique outside your comfort zone. Buffalo is not going to be reasonable in demands. Cheers!

What a dumb rationale. Just because you do something dumb doesnt mean I have to do anything.

It really isn’t a dumb rationale, if you think it’s bad, you should support it with a reason or a trade of your own. All you have done is tell me it’s dumb, and been rude. Two guys have already pointed out that you do this.

I’m critiquing specifically about this armchair team. Which I don’t think is dumb or bad. We just disagreed on what “might” be Sweeney’s ceiling. Cheers

lol no actually, more people in this thread agree that the trade is bad more than people who think it’s good, so clearly you’re the one who thinks your opinion trumps all
