ROUND 1TEAMORIGINALPLAYERDETAILS
Logo of the Montreal Canadiens-unaccountably the best available player and the conciseness #1 selection, Lafreniere displays key attributes of a brad Richards like player. High Compete, Never gives up on the play, and scores at will, he's also a guy that can exceed in the playoffs. Laf is everything you want in a player combined, great shot, he can check, and he has one of the best play making abilities seen since the 2015 NHL Draft.
Logo of the Los Angeles Kings-Easily the best two way forward in the draft, Stutzle can not only play 200 ft but can also put numbers on the score sheet. with a great hockey sense and high IQ he will surly be a difference maker fora rebuilding franchise. the most important thing about Stutzle is his vision and the ability to visualize the play. Predicting where the puck will end up is a very useful skill when playing in a mens league which Stutzle is already familiar with. this would make him one of the most NHL ready Players in the Draft Period. his hands and 2 way game excel past his fellow DEL Prospects and bring out his true talent under high pressure situations. it's close But Stutzle's Defensive offensive game takes the cake for what it means to be a top prospect making him the #2 Selection.
Logo of the Ottawa SenatorsLogo of the San Jose Sharksthe best Power forward in the draft, Byfield may be hulking in size and weight but can deceivingly skate like the wind. his eichel like acceleration and strong frame makes defenders tremble on one on one play. he is goes to the areas most players don't to make challenging plays and never backs out from fore checking. a well known Game Dominator, and a streaky Getzlaf like forward Byfield is locked down for the top 3.
Logo of the Detroit Red Wings-Yzerman will Be Yzerman and take a risk on the Saginaw Player in Cole Perfetti. One of the best Skaters in the Draft he Displays a great Passion for the game and has great hands which is a common theme in this Draft. his speed size and ability to excel when playing in tight gives him very similar comparisons to players like Brayden Point, and Nick Suzuki who also play with a lot of speed and skill whilst still maintaining poise and play making abilities. He also remind me a lot of the actual Steve Yzerman. a 5'11 Canadian forward with great offensive abilities and ability to skate with the puck picked 4th overall. overall perfetti's a risky player to draft at four, but with the right development the risk could pay off in Yzerman Fashion.
Logo of the Ottawa Senators-The best available defenseman, Drysdale displays a Morgan Reilly like offensive, and defensive game. with a great Poise, Puck moving ability, and exceptional backwards edgework + skating ability, Drysdale automatically has great top 4 upside even if his physical game is lacking. one of Drysdale's greatest strengths is the ability to cycle the play and keep the puck in the offensive zone. this allows more offensive zone time and huge +- upside. the only real flaw i can think of his he might take a while to develop because of his offensive based game, but otherwise Drysdale is a great candidate for Ottawa's thin RD and minuscule RD prospect pool (other than Branstrom).
Logo of the Anaheim Ducks-with his strong demeanor and powerful staking Holtzs is a very Bob Murray Like Player. Holtz in the SHL had great numbers for an 18 year old playing among men and like Stutzle is one of the most NHL Ready Players in the draft. Two of Holtz's strong suits are he is very hard to knock off the puck/maintains poise when checked. But the most deadly aspect of Holtz's game is his monster shot which is easily one of the best in the draft, and the fact he can shoot from almost anywhere on the ice especially when in tight makes him one of the most prolific goal scorers in the draft.
Logo of the New Jersey Devils-Fitzgerald loves his Ottawa 67's but I think with the chance to add to they're defensive prospect pool the devils aquire hands down the best LD in the draft. Sanderson's two way D ability is nothing less than impressive. he can not only drive the puck through the zone (similar to Phil Housley) his defensive game is also worth noting as one of his biggest strengths is keeping the puck out of the defensive zone. he is also very good at clearing the puck in high intensity moments which could come up clutch in a sticky situation. overall the only flaw of this semi physical defensman is his development Time period which should not be a problem for New Jersey considering they are in no rush to contend for the playoffs.
Logo of the Buffalo Sabres-With the Pick still available the Sabres draft the best hands in the draft in Lucas Raymond. with a William Nylander like playing style Raymond is Exceptional when he has the puck in his possession. one of his biggest flaws is that he has very raw talent and could be a Boom or Bust. the upside is he could be a very good playmaking winger for Jack and can dominate games when need be.
Logo of the Chicago Blackhawks-Great Mitts, Great Shooting ability, strong and hard to knock off the puck even for his minuscule size of 5'9, what is there not to love. It's a bit controversial but I believe that this undersized yet still very talented forward drops into the Hawks lap because of two things. by no means is he a strong skater and it is actually one of his weak points which could be problematic because of his small frame. this is similar to what happened to Caufield ranked #6 (like Rossi) last season, Great Goal scorer yet not the best skater with small frame. for this he dropped all the way to 15 which looks like a steal for Montreal. and secondly he is from a strange country. Now I know it sounds dumb but this is something scouts look at, as a similar thing happened with a young Slovenian kid in Anze Kopitar with great stats in the SEL (now SHL) in 2005 who dropped from 6 to 11 and made those who passed on him look foolish. I feel like if Rossi falls to here it will be one of the best steals in NHL History and with the availability to pick Rossi at 5 the Blackhawks Jump on that Chance Immediately.
Logo of the New Jersey DevilsLogo of the Arizona CoyotesThis Very Talented Ottawa 67 Power forward has close similarities to the playing style of mark stone especially in the physical side of the game. he is fast and displays a lot of athleticism + Endurance when playing on the ice. one concern is his numbers might be inflated because of his play with Marco Rossi. This could be seen as a huge cause for concern or it could be seen as a steal in the future. Overall his shot accuracy and ability to power through the neutral zone makes him a great necessity for the devils as they lack in physicality and clean zone entry. 50+ goals and quick development is also a very sexy stat for Scouts.
Logo of the Minnesota Wild-Minnesota in Dire Need of a center pick the best available Fin in the Draft. Lundell displays one of the best Two way games in the draft and is compared to another Finnish center in Minnesota, this being Mikko Koivu. Lundell is more of a defense first type forward yet he still produces at a rapid pace in the Finnish Liiga. one of his greatest strengths is his backcheck and apparently has a very good poke and stick checking ability's. overall a very good 200 ft player that can be great for the future of the wild as he also displays great leadership ability, and apparently has a good personality in the locker room.
Logo of the Vancouver Canucks-a Deadly Threat 1 on 1 and is a very stingy goal scoring Forward, Jarvis would make a very good addition to Vans Young core of talented, Fast, and high scoring forwards.
Logo of the Nashville Predators-
Logo of the Florida Panthers-
Logo of the Calgary Flames-
Logo of the New York Rangers-

Don't totally agree with some of these. First, I actually think Perfetti's skating is one of the weaker points of his game, and don't believe it to be that strong. I would also think it would be a miracle for Rossi to fall to 9, as imo, he is the 4th best player in this draft.

Raymond is more of a Marner type player than Nylander but these are pretty solid explanations.

The more I think about Yzerman taking Perfetti, the more I understand it. He could totally transform Perfetti into a top center. He's already done it with Point and Cirelli, he would be smart to do it with Perfetti that way he can transition him to winger in the future too if need be.
