Sam was on pace for 59pts... not 43pts
And even if he’s a guy we shouldn’t want to sign long term,
that doesn’t mean we should make the mistake of bringing in Johansen
That argument is nonsense

Johansen had 61 points at Sams age

Great
He’s now coming off a horrible season
He’s overpaid, by a lot
He’s got effort issues

WAY too many red flags
He’s pretty easily proving he’s not a player you win with

And you’re giving up a ridiculous amount for him
Good god man

So back to my original point, were just giving up on a skilled player because of one bad year but are ready to over pay our own player who has all the same warning signs?

Well i don’t agree about Sam’s effort,
and I’m hoping he won’t cost $8mil per,
and he’s not coming off a bad season... is he?

But if that’s your concern, then don’t pay either!!!
The last thing u wanna do is compound 1 mistake with another
Plus, we already have Sam
We don’t have to give up pick 8 ++ to get him

And it’s more than just one bad year
Johansen has a history of inconsistency & effort issues
Dude has all the talent in the world to be a ppg player
But sadly, that’s just not the player he became for whatever reason
We can’t bring in Vets like that & have them influencing our young talent
It would be a disaster

Gotta do more than just bring in “talent”
We need talent that also displays leadership, effort & heart
And that’s just not Johansen
