I think Jack Hughes should try to play as a left winger because he isn't good defensively. If he becomes a winger, he wouldn't have to focus on defense as much with Nico and Palms being good defenders and it will allow him more offensive opportunities. If it doesn't work out, he could go back as a center.

With Hughes being a winger, the Devils make Zacha the second line center with Gusev and Bratt who were on fire towards the end of the season.

Mcleod, Kuokkanen and Boqvist make the opening roster next season.

On Defense, Smith makes the team and plays with Subban on the top pair.

What? Hughes is a natural center, he was horrendous last year when they tried him on the wing.

Ya but they should try him at wing again next year since he has improved over the summer

The wing experiment didn’t work last year and he was drafted as the natural center that he is. He’s most effective through the middle of the ice in transition. He’ll be competent defensively as he gains experience in the league. The focus for him should be to put on weight to improve his strength and power in his stride & for management and coaching to provide him with wingers that can play at a equal pace with him
