Why would the Sabres trade Cozens and 8oa for 2 positions they dont need to add to. They need Centers, they arent trading their best C prospect and probably another C prospect at 8oa. It makes 0 sense

I think I would do this trade if it was Monahan instead of Johnny Gaudreau

lol, I knew it would get crapped on by Sabres fans. They are hoping to draft in the top 8 until Eichel demands a trade out of there.

It's pretty funny, they're about to pick top 8 for the 8th straight season....and the only two players they got in all those picks better than Gaudreau was Eichel at 2nd overall and Dahlin at 1st overall. I guess they just want to keep the pick and draft the next Mittlestadt or Nylander rather than land an elite game breaking, offense driving forward to play with Eichel.

Hoping to get another Mittlestadt or Nylander eh? Those magic beans are addictive aren't they? Countdown is on for the Eichel trade demand. Only wasted 5 years of him already waiting for those "future assets" to come through smile

You are missing the point. We need a center. We desperately need a center. If we move the 8th overall and/or Cozens, it needs to be for a 2nd line center. We already have Skinner and Olofsson for the left side on the top two lines.

You're right, it makes no sense to trade for an elite player to play with Eichel. Just keep doing what you guys are doing, it's worked great so far haha

No I get it, you need a center.

You also need other things too, and Gaudreau makes Skinner and Olofsson look like hot garbage, he'd easily be your best left winger. Get a center somewhere else, but while you're looking improve the team any way you can before Eichel says "screw this I want out of here".

EDIT: Also, Skinner has played RW before IIRC

It would be a complete waste to play gaudreau with eichel.

Trade him somewhere else or keep him since hes so elite

Where are we getting a center after trading our two best assets and adding a ton of cap?

Move on

Well I can't trade him, I'm just a fan, but I'll AGM him to Buffalo everyday if I want lol

...and yes, he is elite. 4th highest scoring LW in the league over the last 5 seasons haha.

I dunno. Olofsson, Mittlestadt, Ristolainen, maybe you can get Alex Nylander back from Chicago and package up all your former top 8 picks for a center smile

penguins decline. They don't have cap for this mess. Nor do they need another LD. They won't be looking for a LD unless they can move out JJ. Period.

Think about that for a second.

"We don't need Gaudreau, we have Skinner and Olofsson"

That'd be like a Flames fan saying "we don't need Eichel, we have Monahan and Backlund" LOL

..and...

"We don't want to trade Cozens and our top 8 pick because they're our two best future assets"

- Sabre fan after watching his team pick top 8 for nearly a decade straight

Kylington is a left shot but he's played RD more often than not. As a Flames fan I'd be more than happy to sub in a different forward, a prospect like Phillips, Zavgorodniy or a 2nd round pick instead of Bennett.

Mmmmmmm no he doesn't. Skinner is a season away from 40 goals, and Olofsson was having a great rookie.

Skinner was playing with scrubs for a center, and fell off the face of the Earth. Hence why we need a center and not another LW. Which is why is makes absolutely no sense to trade our best two assets for a LW.

I'll repeat since you seem to have a hard time understanding, if we move the 8th overall and/or cozens, it will be for a center.

Olofsson Eichel Reinhart
Skinner acquired center kahun

Looks a lot stronger than having Olofsson, Skinner, and Gaudreau down the left side. Skinner has been playing exclusively LW for a while now, he isnt flipping over to the right side.

There is like 1 team in the whole league able to really help teams swallow up future cap space, which the penguins need. And that's Seattle. You and everyone else is in line behind Francis.
