I could not disagree more.

I pass on this every time. My Hertl ask starts with your first this year, no interest in swapping him for Domi

Looking at Sharks cap hit... they can't add 8M more... they need younger assets like:
Peohling, Lehkonen, Mete (or Fleury or Brook), 2020 2nd might be more interessting for them... and make them saves couple of millions

I mean I definitely think (as you probably to do) that Hertl>>Domi but Hertl is a year older and only has 2 years left until he becomes a UFA. Domi is a RFA and can be signed to a long term contract. He also did just get 72 points 2 seasons ago which is similar to Hertl's production.

And I love Domi!!! but I’m not taking him on his Diabetes is a huge risk factor I’m not comfortable with. I’d sign him to a 1/2 year deal but I wouldn’t trade asssets for him.
And yes the sharks need prospects and picks not cap dumps

Actually when healthy Domi and Hertl are similar but I take Hertl knees long term over Domi and the diabetes long term.
Don’t get me wrong I like both players but diabetes kinda wreaks havoc on your body and means In all honesty he could sign for 6-7 years and be out of hockey in 2. I hope not he’s a great guy and star player but.....

Terrible for SJ. Not even close to nab Hertl. Also the SJ org has plans for Dahlen, theyre not moving him.

Many player have small diseases but it has NO effect on his game... diabetes is so heasy to fix and they are all professional with personnal Dr/trainer/diet/+++
Less worry about diabetes than knee surgery

He has type 1 and needs regular injections and it can be maintained but it still affects recovery Endurance and Overall health, he’s a good player and inwould love him in my team but I’m not comfortable within a long term deal. And not for the sake of Hertl
