This is very close to fair value, but the Sabres still don't trade Eichel even if you offer fair value. Would take a massive overpay

You at least started with the right piece going back to Buffalo in Barzal. If Buffalo were to trade him they would be asking a kings ransom. Most likely so high no one will pay it. Most people on here try to toss Buffalo cap dumps and late 1sts. You are at the very least in the ball park. Lol

I know this may seem close to fair value, but it’s not. Eichel is a superior talent. Perhaps top 5-10 in the NHL. He’s just stuck in Buffalo, so most don’t know how good he truly is.

Also, Buffalo is trying to win now, so they’re not trading Eichel for a less talented player, a prospect, and draft picks 2-3 years away. These picks would most likely be late 1’s, where the value really dips. If it’s not top 3, it’s a gamble.
