Assuming they intend on moving Hughes back to C, I don't think they'd really need him at that position, but maybe a decent pick or prospect could convince them to take on Little for 4 more years and toss him on the wing.

It’s more of a cap dump for the devils. Little is probably never playing again

Ah, makes sense. NJ doesn't really need to shed cap, so I'd think you'd need to toss on a mid round pick to swap a capable player for a LTIR guy.

Why would the Jets do this? If Little returns great if not he goes on LTIR, this makes no sense for either team.
