Is the EDM 1st rounder the 1st overall pick? If not, Leafs says no. If yes, Oilers says no.

No my idea was based on Edmonton not having the first pick and trying to give them better goaltending and a decent winger for Mcdavid and then Leafs taking Benning as a trade chip for another pick or u can keep him and don't sign Hamonic

My logic for the draft capital was there in win now mode this season by getting Kappy to slot by mcdavid and Andersen just for better goaltending and Holl to replace Benning

Only would move benning to make room for bouch so no replacement needed also just gave up 2 seconds for AA and not even sure he’s earned qualifying offer so that extra lost draft capital really puts a dent in future. Anderson I don’t think is a good target for oilers too short term all this money coming in will force other moves i don’t see being worth while.
