Description
What do you think? How far off are the trades in terms of value?

I think Marner would help the Devils a lot and they finally need to make a step forward in their rebuild.

Nashville could need a shakeup as well. I could see Kerfoot performing there and Dermott playing on the 3rd pair.

They have a lot of centres actually. And the Devils really struggle to score goals. Maybe the 2nd first is a bit much

2021 1st. Not a 2022 I'd be ok with.

Ask yourself this: Why would New Jersey trade their 7th overall pick - where they have the opportunity to select a Marner caliber player, who will be 5 years younger and on an entry level contract for 2-3 seasons - and then ALSO add Severson Zacha and ANOTHER 1st round pick.

If Marner is being traded to New Jersey here is what New Jersey would be willing to give:
- Severson + Arizona or Vancouver 1st rounder.
- 7th overall straight up. (I personally wouldn't due to Marner's contract but it's definitely more realistic)
- Arizona AND Vancouver 1st round picks + another top 10 prospect.

Players like Marner are still rare and unlikely to be drafted at nr. 7.

I see that my return might have been a bit rich, but I think Marner is worth more than the 7th alone. And by adding Johnsson definitly more.

What if the Leafs would throw in Dermott as well?
