I think you underpaid on every contract, but it’s not a horrible team.

Labanc and Smith are getting what they're projected to get, Virtanen and Leivo are risks in a year where nobody's getting big paychecks, and everyone else are depth fill-ins. Who's underpaid?

Also, I think Mario does better on his natural side.

That number for Smith is the Evolving Wild projection, and there's no way Leivo, a terminal bench warmer who may or may not be a bust, gets anything more than a tryout contract. If he kills it and manages to play a full season without injury then sure, but until he does $1M-$1.25M is the most he'd get.

I really liked Middleton too, especially when he filled the tough guy void that Dilly left. And Heed was thoroughly underrated, he brought a lot of heart as well as a helluva slapshot.
